chit Chat 2- Launching

My cousin Kaye organized the trip itinerary and gave us her budget projection. Each of us should set aside probably P25, 000 to P35, 000.00 for our 4 day excursion (hotels, food, fares, souvenirs and for shopping). When fiscal issues brought out, more concerns sink in…and it started to rock the group plans. Slowly one by one was backing out and was so undecided whether to go up to the last minute. Part of me really wanted to go ‘I really needed a break and a little board of my daily routines but P35, 000.00 is P35, 000.00, the money could buy me a new lap top or improve the rooms in my house.

A day before the trip I was still unsure and just told the office that if I were not able to report for work it meant I pursued my trip to Hongkong.

That morning of our trip I decided to go. A phone call from Taluds, we must leave early for airport. We need to use public transportation because the family who has the starex Van really backed out in coming with us due to financial reason . They would need almost P200,000.00 for 7 persons. ( the money could buy them a house L.O.L). I felt bad that it meant that the two little girls too (Aily and Cyril), will not be able to make it without their parents. I told Taluds that if we could still bring the two girls with us I will be willing to chip in and share money for the two girls. But they would need to secure DSWD permit to travel with us and that normally cost 3 days to get it.

When I got in Taluds House, the starex Van was there and shall transport us to airport. Aily and Cyril will go with us…no DSWD permit will be required because Te Lany their mother will also go with us mutually with her son Tyron. I learned that Taluds blubbered for the two girls to come with us, she guaranteed to shoulder all their expenses. Taluds really love the two girls. Being an old maid she treated them as her own. I was happy that Taluds will surely enjoy her trip.

Chit chat 1: 1st journey to the Planet Earth

I was surfing the net when the girls got in the room to borrow a lap top for flight booking. I was surprised that for P3, 904.00 only air fare (back and forth) we could enjoy the trip to Hongkong and Macau. What a luscious offer by Cebu Pacific Airline! We were all got excited with the cheapest fare ever but it was the last day to avail the promo, It was like now or never…go go? Or stay?
They encouraged me to join them, but I hesitated, no no no… it was way too impulsive for me to join them. I got better plans… In fact our office also got plans of travelling abroad this year.
Their excitement and happy perspective with their trip was communicable so I reconsidered the cheapest fare by asking my Boss. She advised me through text message that I might better well go with my cousins and grab the promo ticket. So I did!
My cousins immediately booked in the net for the last seats in Cebu Pacific. It was just January this year; however our flight was scheduled May 6 to 11, 2010. Election period. That meant giving up our rights to vote in the first ever electronic election in the Philippines. That was a big deal for a patriotic like me but at that moment I was already enticed and so ready to explore… all I want was to see new things and meet the World.
It was just Kaye, Math (her boyfriend) , Tita MInang (Kaye’s mother), my cousin Mae and Clenore who planned the trip , the original persons. Then the other people like Yvette and Emma were joined by Clenore, then Ludy booked her sister Fely also and the two little girls Aily and Cyril. Suddenly the mother of two girls surprisingly included herself in the trip and her three other sons. In that instant the group of 5 became 16 excited persons including me.
Wow it must be a very happy trip…. ( fingers crossed)

PREFACE: 1ST Journey to the Planet Earth

So many times...I get my laptop... coz I need to write... but I usually ended up playing plants vs zombies...or browsing my face book account...but I feel the urge to write, I need to write my experiences, but when will I be able to? When I am ready!...When will I be ready? Tomorrow? Maybe... I am really really finding it too hard to express in writing what my real experiences in my first ever trip out of the country. Its been a month now...

My dear friends had been asking for my blogs about my Hongkong trip, my unusual experiences there that they somehow heard already from somebody. But I am really not ready yet... I had been scribbling it though. The scenes were still fresh and running in my mind...but as I am i don't want to talk when emotions are too high...It would be unfair to the other party who will never have the chance to defend themselves in my blogs.

I really want to share it with you, I want the world to know the real thing...but I am still taking my sweet time... friends and followers more patience...You will have my series of blogs...Promise.. I love you guys! Here are some of my pictures....

Faded Picture

From Left: Erlinda, Fidela, Natalia and Cecilia, standing at the back Soreng their cousin and Ruben the boy in front, they are our parents

We found this faded picture of the second generation of Efipanio and Andrea Vega clan. The picture got so many comments from the new generations in our face book account. Nobody in the picture smiled and we enjoyed their poses and fashion statements.

We the third generation tried to imitate the faded picture; we posed as our parents did. From left: Ida marie daughter of Erlinda, Gem-daughter of Fidela, Me- daughter of naty, Diamel daughter of Cecilia and Rjhon -son of Ruben

Can’t wait for the following generations to laugh at our poses.

The Blow Out

The formative period for building character for eternity is in the nursery. The mother is queen of that realm and sways a scepter more potent than that of Kings. Mother love is the fuel that enables a normal human being to do the impossible!

My Aunty Ida prepared a blow out for her Son and Daughter Attorney. She secretly planned it from her children. She connived us to prepare the party and the program to be held at the ancestral house of Efipanio and Andrea, a celebration of the Family’s Victory. They spent the whole day in Tagaytay while my other Aunties and Uncle prepared the food.

Without Aunty Ida knowing we planned the other way. We focus the celebration in giving honor to her as the proud and supportive mother. I secretly talked to her daughter Ida Marie to prepare a speech for her Mom.

Aunty Ida was so surprised with the tarpaulin I designed; her younger picture carrying her two babies now lawyers. You could see the glitter in her eyes as her two successful lawyer children put a Leigh in her neck…as people applaud for her as she was the real “Star of the Night”…Clap! Clap! Clap for Tita Ida! Congratulations to Dr. Erlinda Vega Escolano!

He passed!

Congratulations to the new lawyer Atty. Bj!

She shouted… “Really ate?”

It was 3:00 p.m. I sent a text message to my cousin Ida congratulating Atty. BJ his brother for passing the bar exam. She then called me back…asking if the Bar result was out already, they were in the mall that time strolling around… I just answered not yet but I am announcing it now, are you still doubting Bj’s result? I asked. She said that I was a crazy woman and hanged up.

I kept on posting in Bj’s face book that he should enjoy his last day as Bj for just a moment he will be Attorney Bj, the new lawyer.

Part of me was praying hard that he really did well in his bar Exam. We were very supportive during the examination that we even experienced the fierce of Typhoon Ondoy. There was a report that only 5% passed the taxation examination. Though Bj is a certified public accountant he vowed that taxation was the worst part of the test. How will I console my Aunty if Bj did not make it?

At 9:00 pm, a call from hysterical mother “He passed! My son Passed the Bar! And then hanged up!

Congratulations Attorney Benjamin Escolano Jr.!

I am so glad he really passed the Bar Exam because far beyond the real result I announced it already.

Enchanted Kingdom

One of the best parks in the Philippines is Enchanted Kingdom. When I was in College I could just see the park from afar in South Luzon Highway. Finally this year I got a chance to see and enjoy the park with my Office mates.

We tried first the Merry Go round, a simple ride that we really enjoyed. My officemates teased me that the horse I was riding will retire and shall run to administrative offce to complain my heavy weight.

But the funniest part for me and I just secretly laughed when I saw a nun in her skirt riding the horse. I wanted to ask her if she also enjoyed riding the horse...Wow the park is really for everybody to enjoy. It is for everyone.

Then we watched their 3d movies and Chinese dancers since it was Chinese New year when we got there. We rode the biggest Ferris wheel, I could hardly move, so afraid that may companions really laughed at me. I had pictures gripping and never let go of the steel bars. They asked me to take their pictures but I told them that no matter what happen I will not move and let go of my grip. The Rio Grande Rapids was the best for me, though I got really wet I liked the falls and the excitement offered by the ranged river.

There were also magical shows in theaters and Mulan musical shows. For those who could not enjoy their head aching rides they can still enjoy the indoor activities in the park. We got bubble head for remembrance, dancing bodies with our head on it. Each of us had our own copy to watch.

We tried to enter the Horror booth; the three of us were left by our other companions. After almost 30 minutes of contemplating whether to go or not, we decided to enter locked hands altogether with another frightened group. When we entered a loud demon voice were played and we saw ourselves ran back at the entrance in 3 seconds. We really laughed as how chicken we were. The funny part was our other office mates were at the exit waiting to terrify us; they were so surprised when they saw us coming from the side of the booth. So funny that we backed out when we had seen no ghost at all.

We ended the day in Enchanted Kingdom by watching the 30 minutes Fireworks.

What a magical way to spend your day. Enchanted Kingdom thanks a lot.

Hawaiian Summer

We had our company summer outing in Malabrigo Lobo, Batangas, Philippines.

The beach was fabulous, with black stones and smooth pebbles, the scenery was untouched and so natural, the ocean has big waves at times which was very ideal for surfing.

Beach Staff were courteous and friendly, very typical traits in province people. They prepared our foods like a feast and treated us all as V. I. P's.

The resort got nice rooms and facilities. Small nipa huts with air-condition and bathroom. They got a villa near the beach with videooke bar and billiard tables. You could sleep under the Sampaloc trees with hammocks for more relaxation, stroll around in the light house nearby with a very nice over looking scenery…if you wish to have soothing massage, a traditional hilot with coconut oil was just in place, a very ideal place for rest and vacation…you and the beach, the sounds of the wind and nature...you inside the peaceful nature.

We had fun filled activities in Malabrigo; the group was divided into three teams, green, blue and yellow. Each team prepared cheers and chants,we had apple eating contest and banana eating contest. "lay your body in the sand for an answer"…in this game we had so much fun and so much bruises as other members of the team pulled one another just to form the letters. The mechanics were to answer the questions as fast as you can buy forming bodies into corresponding letters in the ground, once formed the leader should raise her hand... I constantly raised my hand and called judges attention even when we're not ready...but my technique worked...we won the game.

The other exciting game was filling the bucket with water; we hurriedly ran in the water wet ourselves and fill the bucket by squeezing the water out of our clothes. You could see the persistent teams running from ocean to shore; we were the first team to fill the bucket. Only to discover that my team mate secretly put a big black rock in it, we were disqualified. Unforgettable experience for all of us…imagine we even desperately squeezed the foams of our bras for water just to win and later on be banned as winner. Others loathed what our team mate had done however that added so much fun; we nearly drowned him in the sea.

The day ended blissful and enjoyable.

The night was Hawaiian party;after dinner we dressed up in colorful floral dresses and enjoyed the bonfire. We clapped as one by one get out of their cottages with magnificent outfit. We had Leigh hanged in our necks and beautiful flowers in the ear. We had bottom less drinks and we really party all night. We ramped and showed our colorful costumes to the crowd. We really enjoyed the conservative employee’s costumes as well as the liberated group who showed so much skin. Tweet twit... guys really enjoyed scenery in Malabrigo.

In the morning with hang over and too little sleep we climbed and hiked the Malabrigo light house. We walked and stopped as we caught our breath not only with so much expiration with the leg stretching stairs but with the best scenery Malabrigo offered. I f I could only collect big white rocks but way to heavy...so I settled for smaller one...my mom appreciated the rocks that i brought not for garden decoration purpose but for her bathing...LOL

Summer Project 2010…my mission... accomplished.

Software 4 everyday use

Lateral thinking is concerned not with playing with the existing pieces but with seeking to change those very pieces. It is concerned with the perception part of thinking. This is where we organise the external world into the pieces we can then ‘process’.Edward de Bono

My officemate James is so forgetful that he received so many gifts last Christmas. Someone gave him a memory pill, another gave him schedule notebook, telephone directory and so much more related to his memory retention problem…the dilemma, he forgets to bring and use those items given.
He had been our Icon for memory loss and the crack of joke almost everyday. What they don’t know is my personal memory lapses. I usually forget where I put my pen, my cellular phones and my schedules. I usually inscribe things I should do and have
directory sync of my daily errands. I don’t want to be the Queen of James. Lol
One time my officemate asked for a soft copy of the memo I did a week ago…my God I could not find it… I forgot where I saved it… I searched in my computer but nowhere to be found…but I knew it was just there…later I found the file in my usb… One of my tight spots is finding my files in computer. My hectic schedules usually result to scrambled files. But I really don’t want to be labeled as Ms. Memory Loss and have a dot in my capability. So I already made folders for each file and I took time in sorting my documents. I tried my best to make my work easier that even my officemates can easily find what they need. Knowing my weakness I tend to be more organize and more attentive to details.

I already advised James about my technique but he forgot what I told him…

Sexual Demons

“Its all in your mind”…then I laughed at her stories…Who will believe that a spirit hugged and slept beside her? How could an unattached virgin like her experience such things? Though I lent her my ear I didn’t consider her misleading notions.

She was sleeping and she was awakened by the movement at the side of her bed. Then she saw a faceless man. He slowly moved beside her and hugged her. She tried to wrestle him but she could not move…then she felt the man moving up and down from her body….

Her stories were nonsense for me until I encountered this program in Philippine Television, Misteryo” (Mystery) February 6, 2010 Sunday 9:55 p.m. channel 11. Their topic was about a lady being raped by spirits in her sleeps.

It was a documentary of true to life experiences encounter with incubus…A sexual demon who rapes women in their sleeps. There were spiritual experts, psychologist and victims that attested with the existence of such spirits… I was shocked that those things exist and the demon even got a name… “Incubus”
After watching, I called her, so much ready to really listen to her Creepy stories…her experiences were so uncanny…real goose bumps this time…

An incubus (plural incubi) is a
demon in male form supposed to lie upon sleepers, especially women, in order to have sexual intercourse with them, according to a number of mythological and legendary traditions. Its female counterpart is the succubus. An incubus may pursue sexual relations with a woman in order to father a child, as in the legend of Merlin.[1] Some sources indicate that it may be identified by its unnaturally large or cold sexual organ.[2] Religious tradition holds that repeated intercourse with an incubus or succubus may result in the deterioration of health, or even death.
Medieval legend claims that demons, both male and female, sexually prey on human beings. They generally prey upon the victim while they are sleeping, though it has been reported that females have been attacked while fully lucid.
The incubus is sometimes confused with the legendary "
Old Hag" syndrome. The Old Hag episode, however, is usually restricted to an unpleasant feeling of great pressure on the chest and not a ghostly sexual encounter.

Call of Nature

I got goose bumps but I was not afraid of anything.
I felt something in my stomach…
Oh Gosh!
Emergency…
My God it was traffic…
I‘d like to kick other passengers out of the jeepney.
Hurry please…ump another thud in my stomach…
Oh I secretly prayed for Mr. Driver...go go go!
Oh gosh, glad it was the street of my office.
I jumped and ran…
“I can do it, Have faith! Oh God have mercy”
Pray, pray, Emergency….please hold on me, a little longer…
I pushed the office door…and shouted…
“Please Fenny punch my DTR”
Rushed to the Comfort Room... I locked the Door… and there…
The Holy Shit!
Oh Holy God of Mercy, it was just in time…
After the deed, I went to the canteen to have my breakfast… I overheard the conversations of my Officemates…
Amy: Hey Marge, why did you run, I was following you… You thought you were late already? We still had 30 minutes…
Marge: Oh yeah… I thought I was really late, I saw Ms. Noreen (Me) hurriedly jumped out of the jeepney and rushed to the office…

Call it a Miracle!

Acts 2:44-47

And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.

I became interested in going to Antipolo because of my Sister in Law Michelle. It is been their family’s practice to visit that Church yearly. I reflected on why they should go to a very far away Church while all the while God is in our hearts. I didn’t see any sense with that…really!

But when she mentioned that they will be having lunch at the famous falls Hinulugang Taktak, I aired my intention of going. A picnic in a scenic place under the trees thrilled me. What a way to respite and that means delightful pictures for my face book account.

Antipolo Church seemed so ordinary; still I could not find the reason for people from afar to visit it religiously. But something insinuated me to do just as what they were doing… I prayed seriously, lighted some candles and paid for a Holy Mass dated January 31,2010, 8:00 a.m. my intentions: Business Growth and help me bear a child….My Antipolo Church visit all in all was kind a soul uplifting experience though for some reasons our planned trip to the falls did not push through.

January 31, 2010 our 2nd wedding anniversary at 9:30 a.m. the phone rang…a new client for our business called, asking for our Proposal because they badly needed a new supplier… a wonderful gift for our Cotton wedding and big blessing from God. Then I remembered the Holy Mass in Antipolo, it was scheduled by the time the new Client Called… coincidence?

Call it a miracle…..

So who wants to join me in my next visit to Antipolo Church?
