Just for fun!

My work gives me opportunity to see different things. I wonder how adults let this child to play with saw... His fingers at risk and his another finger totally shown to everybody...What a toy...

A 75 year old lady washing clothes on top of their kitchen or lavatory...

A teenager busily watching the dismantling activity caught my attention, girls beside me were busy laughing at his butt.

I should always get ready my camera for the funny side of my work.

Rain Food

Rain again and again...the best thing to do is cook. Soak the rice , catch the chicken, half cook the egg, chop the ginger, crush the cracker and saute the garlic....ready the garnish...with calamansi and fish sauce... hmmmmmmmm smoking erros caldo...best way to spend rain indoors... I like to share it to you!

Want some?

Bestfriends!

My mom addresses my husband as her best friend.
They eat together, exchange stories and my husband accompanies Mommy to hospital during check up.
When we are all together, my husband escorts mommy.
In occasions, my husband urgently sits mommy and gets food for her.
When we fight, Mommy always on his side and when I am lacking of patience for my Mom, my husband would tap my back and remind me to have respect for Mommy.
Mom got a best friend out of my husband...isn't that wonderful?

Mom's now 66!

I can still remember when Mom switched candles from 64 to 46, and now she is 66. it is such a blessing for us. When she suffered from stroke when she was 59 every year was counted a million blessings to us. Now she seemed getting younger every year physically and every birthday is an event to celebrate.

Happy Birthday Mommy, more birthdays for you. I love You Mommy with all my heart.

Curtain Design

In our new kitchen, I decided to do my own curtain style. I tied orange strings in a bamboo stick, put artificial leaves and grapes... I love the filipino effect and originality it added to my new kitchen...Only in my Home!

My cousin's daughter!

My eagerness to have my own daughter grew fonder as I see my niece Princess. Many vowed that she looks like me in my younger years and surely having my own baby would mean as cute as her. Lord...oh please... I really want a baby girl to cuddle, to love and to enjoy for the rest of my life...Please help me pray for my future daughter.

Rambutan Fruit

The unconventional rambutan tree at our backyard produced so many fruits ahead of time. the red covering and white pulp seemed so inviting... and so sweet...surprise that when you eat, it was so sour sweet like yacky candy... can be a practical joke for everybody.

I brought a bag of my super sour rambutan fruit in my new office... I watched as my office mates ate it...LOL... their faces showed most horrible scene ever... they almost screamed in shock of its sour taste... they just smiled when i asked if they want more! Though others enjoyed eating my fruit, you just need to suck for more its sweet taste out of sour begin.

My cousins now in New Zealand truly miss the fruit...the sour taste of the fruit becomes sweet and sweeter as it ripens. If i could only give them some...so bad can not be sent through e-mail or blogs...

Rain Shower

Part of my childhood is carefree playing in the rain. I woke up this Saturday morning with no electricity and no water out of faucet....gloomy weather opened the idea of setting aside taking a bath...afternoon delight..tik tak tik tak in our roof...then a rush of rain followed...children exitedly came out of their houses...including me... Enjoying rain is for everybody, together we laughed, ran and had fun in the rain... Thank you Lord for your way of relieving my stress... I loved the rain that washed away my worries...I had real fun...

Our Lost is Heaven's gain

It was Sunday afternoon, when I learned that our Boss suffered heart attack at 5 a.m and declared dead at about 8:00 in the morning.

I was too sad with his departure and too late to know the real Him after his death.

I rarely talked to him and strictly official business only, for he projected an image of highly educated man and no none sense at all. If not that important, I kept it all to myself because I didn't want to consume his very improtant time.

He was always well dressed and a very fine man... at his death I learned that he came from under priviledge family, struggled for his education, successfully earned his Government reputation by hard work and the only ultimate dream was just to have his own home. The location of his funeral was his ancestral home ,a structure very far from usual house of corrupt government employee. He was so influential and held position opportune enough to get all I imagined.

I salute him more when I learned that he never used his political powers and high position for self or personal gain. Even in provincial Hospital when he needed medical attention, he never demanded for special attention, he lined with the patients and waited for his turn during check ups, considering( I repeat) he was the one of the heads of the the province.

He remained activist and true blue community servant. It explained his genuine concern in project monitoring for the poor community of the Province.

Thank you for the heart you have given us Boss, and for showing us the meaning of Civil Service.
Thank you for showing me my dream job and for your smile and giggle after reading my psychological exam!

Its my greatest pleasure to meet you Boss Meynard Melo...in this world, you appeared poor in money, but richer in dignity and with best reputation ever. Enjoy your Mansion in Heaven Boss!

We will truly miss you and we will surely live up with your expectations.

Happy trip to you Boss Melo!

In quest for Perfect Maid

The girls Maria and Betty, my best performing house helps ever and not responsible with what I am sharing in this blog.

What if...you experience, my experiences?

What if your maid watered your 10 year old bonsai every day with fertilizer...without you knowing and that caused the death of your beloved bonsai?

What if your maid washed the manirated spicy wings you bought in Monterey for she thought it were dirty?

What if your maid washed in faucet the macaroni noodles you are about to cook?
What if your maid ironed your newly bought expensive dress, burned a part and left the flat iron marked in front?

What if your maid washed away the chicken broth you set aside four your special recipe?

What if your maid, when asked to buy 5pcs. concrete nail went to the nearby grocery store instead to the beside hardware and went home with nothing?
What if your maid when informed to go to the hardware and buy 5pcs.concrete nail went back carrying P50.00 worth of nails, almost 1 kilo of it?

What if your expensive non stick with teflon pan was scotched to bright, brushed, cleaned until silver pan showed by your maid?

What if your aquarium with family of flowerhorn fishes were voluntarily cleaned by your maid and you went home, all fishes died?

What if your dog died because of daily bathing and with retained water in the cage?

What if you constantly find water rushing out of the faucet, water left boiling in the stove and almost burned cooking because the maid forgot it?

What if you were late and your maid forgot to wash and iron your uniforms?

What if you been looking for your cellphone charger, you just put it on the bed and your maid confessed that its been months since she went to the rooms?

What if you found the cellphone charger you been looking for a month, in a box under the bed and still the maid won't admit hiding it?

What if you can not really do anything about it, because even with their flaws their still important to your day to day lives.

What if I just resign and terminate our maids before i end up in Jail for killing them? Joke only. As a working wife and with mother needs assistance, I been leaving with different maids and could not really set standard in choosing one. The most important function of them is accompany my mother, those experiences though really tested my patience were secondary to their real existence. With proper training, in time our maids improve and becoming more useful and part of our family. I would like to thank them for being my sisters even for just a while and for being my counterpart in loving my Mommy...
